This article follows the causes of food allergies, Part 1 and 2 and give some recipes using alternative ingredients to those with allergies food that are good for the holidays. In Part 1 and 2, we learned how allergies to foods could be dangerous. Because Christmas usually means many snacks holiday, it is important to remind people to be aware of ingredients in cookies and cakes and other foods.

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

INGREDIENTS:

· 3 / 4 cup margarine (make sure Vegan!)

· 1 / 2 cup sugar

· 1 cup packed brown sugar

· 1 Tea Vanilla

· 1 / 2 cup soy milk

· 1 cup flour

· 1 / 2 tsp tea baking soda

· 1 / 2 tsp Tea Salt

· 1 Cinnamon Tea

· 1 / Cloves 2 tbsp Tea

· 1 / 2 tsp Tea nutmeg

· 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

· 1 cup raisins

· 3 cups rolled or quick cooking oats

PREPARATION:

Preheat oven to 350 ° F.

Whisk together sugar, brown sugar, margarine and vanilla until smooth and creamy. Add soy milk and mix until smooth.

Add flour, baking soda, salt and spices and stir until well blended. Add flour mixture to sugar mixture and margarine that was already well blended. The dough will be very thick.

Decrease of 3 balls inch on a cookie sheet and flatten slightly.

Bake 12-15 minutes or until done. Cookies are a little soft and fluffy.

Cookies Gingerbread

INGREDIENTS:

· 1 cup margarine (make sure it is vegan!)

· 1 cup sugar

· Blend in mashed bananas or applesauce ¼ cup (egg substitute)

· 1 cup molasses

· 2 vinegar, apple cider

· 5 cups flour

· 1 / 2 tsp Tea salt

· 1 1 / 2 tsp tea baking soda

· 1 tablespoon ginger

· 1 1 / 2 tsp Cinnamon Tea

· 1 Tea gloves

· 1 / 2 teaspoon nutmeg

PREPARATION:

Preheat oven to 375 º F.

Beat together margarine and sugar in large bowl. Add egg substitute, molasses and vinegar and set aside.

In another bowl, sift together the remaining ingredients. Combine with margarine mixture and stir until well blended. Refrigerate for at least two hours or overnight. This will help the mixture becomes firm. Shape into 1 / 2 balls and flatten-inch, or roll on a floured surface and cut into shapes using cookie cutters. Place cookie shapes on cookie sheets. Bake in oven for 6-8 minutes until cooked.
